EARLY ACCESS — 30 PILOT TEAMS

SRT Gateway for
Live Broadcast Contribution

Route, transcode, and distribute live streams with automatic failover and sub-50ms switchover. Already running 40+ routes 24/7 in sports broadcast. Now open to 30 pilot teams.

01

The Flow

Three stages. Deterministic. Predictable.

Ingest

Receive streams from any source. SRT listener/caller with AES encryption, SRTLA bonding for mobile (BELABOX compatible), RTSP pull from IP cameras and encoders, TS over HTTP ingest, UDP unicast. Automatic reconnection and failover.

Process

Optional transcoding with FFmpeg. Audio matrix routing for complex channel mapping (7.1→stereo). Format conversion. Or zero-copy passthrough when processing isn't needed.

Redistribute

Fan-out to unlimited destinations simultaneously via SRT, RTMP, HLS, NDI, and ST 2110. Internal multicast means zero CPU overhead per additional output. Add or remove outputs hot—no interruption. NDI and ST 2110 available on-premise.

02

Video Stream Failover

Multi-input redundancy with automatic switchover under 50ms.

Sub-50ms Switchover

UDP selector switches between inputs at the frame level. Downstream decoders stay locked.

Auto-Failover

Up to 8 redundant inputs per route. Detects signal loss and switches automatically. Manual override available.

Hot-Add Inputs & Outputs

Add or remove sources and destinations while streaming. No route restart, no interruption to the live feed.

Mixed Protocols

Combine SRT, RTMP, HTTP sources in one failover group. Each with independent settings.

03

Video Routing Features

Infrastructure-grade reliability for live broadcasting.

Crash Recovery

Server restarts? No problem. Automatic process adoption rebuilds all routes from running processes. Zero manual intervention.

Hardware Transcode

VAAPI and Intel QSV for H.264 and HEVC/H.265. Auto-fallback QSV→VAAPI on Linux. 10x faster than CPU at a fraction of the power.

Zero-Copy Distribution

Internal multicast routing means adding outputs costs zero CPU. Route one stream to 50 destinations with the same overhead as one.

Hot Management

Add, remove, enable, disable, move outputs—all while streams are live. No route restart required. Zero interruption to other outputs.

VMAF Quality Analysis

Automated video quality scoring (VMAF 0-100, PSNR) on every active route. One-click quality check with full history and trends.

Prometheus & Grafana

Full /metrics endpoint: bandwidth, connections, CPU/RAM per process, Intel QSV GPU load. Pre-built Grafana dashboards included.

Diagram View

Interactive route visualization (inputs→outputs) built with React Flow. Real-time stats overlay without slowing down, even at scale.

Audio Matrix

Complex channel routing. Downmix 7.1→stereo. Extract specific channels. Per-channel gain control. Mix multiple sources.

Docker & Kubernetes

Containerized deployment with K8s orchestration and Terraform infrastructure-as-code. PostgreSQL support for multi-instance production.

{ }

REST API

Full CRUD on routes, inputs, outputs. JWT authentication. OpenAPI documentation. Automate everything, integrate anywhere.

06

Live Stream Routing Use Cases

From field contribution to studio distribution.

Live Broadcast

Contribution feeds from field to studio. SRT bonding for mobile reporters. Automatic failover between primary and backup. Real-time quality monitoring.

Live Events

Multi-camera routing for concerts, sports, conferences. Fan-out to broadcast, web, social simultaneously. Add destinations on the fly as needs change.

OTT / Streaming

Ingest from any source, transcode with hardware acceleration, distribute via HLS or TS over HTTP. Built-in HLS player with latency indicator.

Remote Production

SRTLA bonding for unreliable networks. Works with BELABOX and mobile encoders. Starlink-ready. Automatic failover keeps the feed alive.

In Production

Teams running Vajra Cast in broadcast environments.

"We run 40+ routes 24/7. Hardware transcoding dropped our server costs by 60%. The visual routing diagram makes training new ops trivial."

Romain M. Actuafilms

"We handle live contribution across US, Europe and Asia. The multi-input failover saved our broadcast twice already. Reliable and cost-effective."

Why Early Access?

Vajra Cast already runs 40+ routes 24/7 in sports broadcast production. Before commercial launch, we are onboarding 30 teams to validate the product across different broadcast environments.
